About the Author

I have spent my whole life in New Hampshire; the amazing seafood, wonderful summers, erratic weather, and beautifully crisp autumns made New England the only place I ever wanted to be. I loved traveling; it never mattered where, I always loved observing different cultures and scenery. I knew I would always come back to New Hampshire.

The idea struck me at a Music and Arts festival for the Dover Children’s home in the July of 2009. It was a beautiful summer day and I packed my camera in my dad’s old bag and took off for the day. I wandered down town and followed the music, an adolescent metal outburst, to Henry Law Park. I spent the entire day listening to local bands, and photographing the festivities.

I had been struggling with the idea of spending my entire life trying to decide what I was going to spend my entire life doing. I have so many talents and passions, and the idea of utilizing only one as a career was overwhelming. I was a chef, a writer, and a photographer with a passion for music. I am friendly and organized, and I adore caring for both animals, and people. I begged that I would find a way to incorporate every single love.

Later that evening I took a look at my website, which my dad had built for me years earlier. I had always had a hard time utilizing it. I would write blogs or poems occasionally, but I struggled to finish what I started. I wanted to get to the point where I could truly advertise my site as something I was proud of.

I had an idea that beautiful New England day as I sat and watched a young blonde boy screaming his lyrics, displaying such an obvious passion that it made me smile. As I photographed a pregnant grunge/metal singer I wished I had a press pass around my neck. With no desire to return to school at the time, I knew I had to embark on my own. I had a job which paid the bills, and a job that would kick start my dream. I want to post my own recipes, and photography, and when I don’t have anything else to say, maybe a poem or two. I want to post reviews of events, local bands, artists, and restaurants and be your source for up-coming events. I want to be your New England guide site, but more personal. If you have any suggestions about events or places I should check out, please see my contact forum!
